Blessed 25 Joyful Years

There’s so much to love about the month of March. It’s the month when I and the husband get a year older. (Yes, we’re both Martians! :P). Time flies so fast! It’s like I was just 18 years old when my husband and I entered into a relationship as BF/GF. And now, we’re 25 and 27 years old, married, with a little kuya and a baby girl on the way. Ang bilis lang noh?

Oh dear. Suddenly, I am 25 years old. And at quarter life, I’m a Momma of two!

Anyway, Bryan suggested that he’ll be celebrating his birthday on the same day as mine para isang gastusan na lang. Since my birthday fell on a Saturday and on the day of my check-up with the OB, we began the day at the hospital in LPCMC. We left little kuya at my parent’s house so that they’ll be able to enjoy their time with their apo.

We only spent a little time at the hospital since I was already the last patient that my OB had to check when we arrived. Swerte! After which we went to SM Southmall to have a short date as a couple. I told him we must make the most out of that short time as we don’t usually get the chance to go out alone as a couple. We’re always with our little kuya.

We’re supposed to see a movie but being a pregnant that I am, gutumin and antukin,  I requested a late lunch date instead.

We chose Yabu as I already miss their Katsu, Cabbage with Goma sauce and brown rice.

I ordered Mechi Katsu set while the husband ordered the Rosu (Pork Loin) set. Their Katsu sets come with unlimited white or brown rice, unlimited cabbage, fruits, and miso soup.

We love Yabu’s brown rice! It’s delicious and very filling to the tummy. Plus brown rice is much healthier than the white. It’s what we also cook at home. And because Yabu has big servings of Katsu sets, I was able to request up to 3 cups of brown rice.

I felt a little guilty that I ate a big meal on my birthday when my OB has just reminded me to be mindful of my food intake just a few hours ago. Doh!

We went out of Yabu with our tummy’s full and our cravings satisfied. By the way, I must commend Yabu SM Southmall’s staff and crew. They are accommodating and attentive to their customers. Thumbs up to their customer service skills! 🙂

Food Street SM Southmall
This place is usually filled with people taking selfies around that mini Eiffel tower inside SM Southmall. But during the time we arrived, there are no other people taking photos so I immediately asked the husband to take a photo of me! Hihi

So then we strolled around the mall ’til I got tired. And because I already miss our little kuya, we’ve decided to go home already with a box of SnR Pizza as an additional food to the feast that’s waiting for us at home.

As I always say, my husband and I aren’t used to big celebrations during our birthdays so we always choose to have a simple feast with our immediate relatives. The day of my birthday celebrated at the house of my parents in Las Piñas, and we then had another round of celebration at Nanay’s house in Parañaque for our relatives from my husband’s side.

Our Little Kuya is so cute here! Parang batang nahihiyang magpa-picture! Haha

Second round of our birthday celebration at Nanay’s house in Parañaque. This is by the way the only decent photo we have during that day. The other photos are blurred. Pfft! Hehe

The month of March is like an extension of the month of Love which is February as we get to celebrate another year of our lives.

It’s also the month when I get a little sentimental and I can’t help but feel blessed. Some would be using the taglines quarter-life crisis, but I, on the other hand, see my life full of quarter-life blessings. Sure, I have my own crisis but I choose and I am trying hard to deal with it with a positive heart and attitude.

Cheers to another Joyful year full of blessings!

Live. Laugh. Love. Pray.
